Craft Beer Cellar Technician
Bent Beam Brewing is seeking a motivated, hardworking, and passionate craft beer enthusiast to join our production team as a Cellar Technician. This hands-on position works directly with our Brewmaster and plays a critical role in producing high-quality beer while maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness, organization, and safety.

Bent Beam Brewing is a new brewpub located in the heart of Canton, New York. Our mission is Better Brewing Through Science while building a strong team culture focused on quality, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
Position Overview
The Cellar Technician supports daily brewery operations and is responsible for assisting with brewing, fermentation management, cleaning and sanitation, packaging support, and general maintenance.
This is a physically active position requiring attention to detail, a strong work ethic, and a commitment to producing world-class beer.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist the Brewmaster during brew days
- Mill and handle grain
- Prepare brewing ingredients and equipment
- Assist with beer transfers and tank management
- Clean and sanitize fermenters, brite tanks, and brewery equipment
- Follow brewery SOPs and food-safety standards
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
- Assist with preventative maintenance and equipment upkeep
Qualifications
Required
- Passion for craft beer and brewing
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to follow instructions and standard operating procedures
- Reliable, punctual, and self-motivated
- Basic math and recordkeeping skills
- Ability to lift and move 55 pounds repeatedly
- Ability to work safely on ladders and elevated platforms
Preferred
- Previous brewery, food production, manufacturing, or sanitation experience
- Basic understanding of brewing and fermentation processes
- Familiarity with aseptic and sanitary handling techniques
- Mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
Schedule
- Full-time position (approximately 40 hours per week)
- One or two extended brew days per week
- Occasional evenings or weekends may be required
Compensation & Benefits
- Starting pay: $16.00 per hour
